Tune-up Festivals

Orchestra Nova, in conjunction with the California Music Educators Association, presents the only annual school orchestra festival in the country with master classes by a professional conductor and professional musicians.   Every year during March, Maestro Jung-Ho Pak and principal members of the orchestra work intensively with teachers and their students to help them grow stronger as conductors.

The 2012 Orchestra Nova Tune-Up Festival will be on Friday, March 9th and Saturday, March 10th at the Crill Performance Hall at Point Loma Nazarene University.  Guest conductors Dana Mambourg Zimbric and Matthew Rowe will work directly with up to 15 local student orchestras.  Students will then have the opportunity to attend masterclasses led by Orchestra Nova’s principal string players.
